Name: Nick Mosley Business: T101 Type of business: Graphic design
Nick Mosley started his graphic design business in February 2002, and provides print advertising and branding material to many customers across the London club scene.
Nick quickly found that working alone it was difficult to keep abreast of orders and requests while actually carrying out the work, so he need to invest in the latest technology.
“I needed to be able to have quick dial up connection and with the current technology I had meant being on the web my phone orders couldn’t be processed because the line would be engaged.”
So, he decided to invest in BT broadband package BT Openworld Business Broadband 500 Plug & Go connection. Using the package meant that Nick could make the company more efficient and keep up to speed with the growing number of clients.
“It helped me to stay on top of the work load,” explains Nick. “By using BT Broadband I can respond to both web-based enquires and telephone clients. Previous to having the package if I was online it meant the phone was engaged.”
Nick also has to download and send large files as part of his work. Before, this meant spending valuable time doing just that. Now with the BT Broadband package he can send material over the Internet up to ten times faster than a 56k modem.
“With a lot of my work being web based I needed to have reliable technology and be able to get work to my clients efficiently,” says Nick. “BT Broadband has allowed me to do that far better than a standard modem.”
Nick had considered having an ISDN line put in but the cost of it put him off. By using BT Broadband, he is now saving himself around £850 compared to an ISDN line. Nick’s company is going from strength to strength and his clients appreciate the difference BT Broadband has made.
“BT Broadband has changed the way I work,” says Nick. “My clients now know that they can access me both over the phone and via email and that the work can be sent to them quickly”
